Automatic updating of links in excel
Press "Startup Prompt" if you want to set Excel to always update or never update working links when you open the current workbook.
This setting does not automatically fix broken links -- it only updates links with an "OK" status.

In the Edit Links dialog box, click Startup Prompt button at the bottom, see screenshot:3.
And then in the popped out Startup Prompt dialog, you can choose Don’t display the alert and don’t update automatic links or Don’t display the alert and update links as you need.4.
Then click OK, and close the former dialog box, and when you open this workbook next time, the Update Links message will not appear any more.

As the source files are changed, the destination workbook should also be updated.If you need to manually update the data in linked cells again while the book is open, press "Refresh All" on the Data tab.
